We designed and developed the museum’s own home site as well as a custom application that is projected onto the wall in the museum. The application lets visitors upload photos and displays them in a newspaper style screen on the wall.
The customer wanted a website that would be easy for them to update so they could easily showcase their different exhibitions from their four museum locations.
Their original site was difficult to maintain as they had to keep updating the same information in multiple places. The new site solved this problem by creating custom post types and a custom back-end to WordPress which made it easy for them to update opening times, prices, events and exhibitions.
Hämeenlinna City also has high standards for accessibility so we utilized many tools making sure that everything was in place for sight-impaired users and screen readers.
